Platformers

Let me start off by saying I love platformers. I've started playing them since the days of the SNES and Genesis and I still play them today. They are my favorite video game genre and I don't think I would be a gamer if it wasn't for platformers. Unfortunately, you don't see as much of them today as you did back in the 90s since shooters have seemed to take over the gaming world. However I'm still very thankful to see game franchises like the classic Mario games still being produced as well as Sonic still making games. I also love Sony's Ratchet and Clank franchise, another amazing platformer of this generation. I want to see more of those types games come out along with zany characters and tight platforming.
